At local2.me we only want one thing, all UK businesses online as quickly as possible. Large or small, rich or poor, the internet is a level playing field for everyone. If you can imagine it, then you can try it.

Not enough businesses are making the most of the web due to many factors, but we're here to help change that..

We have a plan, some of which is revealed on this page, and it relies on you playing your part. It's an enormous job that will benefit everyone, consumers and businesses alike.

Local2.me business listings.

Our business listings are hand selected by people or added by you, not by robots (computer software).

We require that all listings link to a working website or profile, not just another listings site.

If you don't have a website you can create a professional site for free with the local2.me sitebuilder, so now there's no excuse not to have one.

We require all listings to have at least one physical location, as our business listings are ordered by distance from the user.

Our sponsored links only appear to users within their catchment area, so businesses avoid unwanted clicks and wasted money.

The first thing to do is to search for your business in our listings. If you can't find it then create an account and add your free listing.

We are in the process of creating our own wiki for businesses, so you will be able to create your own buziwiki pages, update others, make associations and add reviews or articles.

If you need to advertise your business on the web, look no further than Local2.me. With our location based sponsored links you can advertise within your custom catchment area with little risk of your clicks being wasted on web surfers miles away.

If you are missing features on your site that are too expensive elsewhere, create extra content for your site with Local2.me. Combine your online sales and in store EPOS (electronic point of sale) system with our free software. You can sell via the web and in your shop from the same products list. This service is estimated to summer '09.

If you don't have a website then you need to build yourself one, with the Local2.me sitebuilder. You can quickly sign up for a new account, then add the sitebuilder application to create your site for free.

Once you have set up your site, you can add standard pages, and if you would like anything that is not available then we can try and write it for you.

We realise that if you want a feature in your site, others will as well, and rather than writing the same code time and time again, we can write it once and everyone can use it. It's really quite simple.

With the Local2.me sitebuilder you have complete control over layout, colours, menu style, pages etc. We will also be bringing out some SEO (search engine optimisation) software to help you climb natural listings of major search engines.

There are so many directions planned for this site, some features will come online quickly and some over the next year or so.

If you check the news page you can see what we're currently working on. We are open to suggestions and want to do whatever we can to support local businesses.

To get to where we want to be we need to make sure our business directory is as full as possible, with catchment areas defined for each listing.
